1. Extract. Every Monday, CMS publishes the NPPES weekly data dissemination — a public file of every National Provider Identifier created or changed that week. We extract newly enumerated Type-2 (organization) records carrying dental taxonomy codes.
2. Cross-check. Each record is checked against the NPPES Registry: does an older dental organization already hold an NPI at the same street address? Is the authorized official an established dentist or a new owner? Multi-location filings by the same group are merged into one event.
3. Verify. Each remaining candidate is verified against the open web — existing websites, review histories and their dates, construction and 'coming soon' signals — to separate genuinely new practices from re-incorporations and ownership changes of existing offices. The evidence sentence ships with every lead.
